Abstract:

Optimal relay selection can effectively improve the system performance in the communication network with cooperative relays from the view of physical layer security. The optimal relay selection schemes for relay transmission system with multiple single-antenna eavesdroppers were investigated, and the differences between the amplify-and-forward (AF) protocol and the decode-and-forward (DF) protocol were we discussed and compared separately. For comparison, the direct transmission without relay was also discussed. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the optimal relay selection scheme can effectively guarantee the security of the system.

Key words: physical layer security, relay selection, amplify-and-forward, decode-and-forward, outage probability
