    Manuscript Submission Overview

    About the Journal

    Journal of Communications and Information Networks (JCIN) aims to foster dissemination of the novel revolutionary technologies and to trace the continued developing research areas covering both conventional subjects and inter-disciplines. Authentic articles in various directions of communications and information networks, scientific commentaries involving the emerging research issues are welcome.

    The general scope ranges from theoretical contributions to practical implementation, and includes, but is not limited to the following: broadband wireless communications, optical communications, satellite communications, high altitude platform communications, software defined radio, cognitive radio networks, mobile Ad hoc networks, software defined networks, multimedia communications, Internet of things, cyber security, network management.


    Types of Publications

    The manuscript is suggested to be no more than 15 pages. Full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

    Manuscripts submitted to JCIN should neither be published previously nor be under consideration for publication in another journal. The main article types are as follows.

    Original Articles (including references, notes, captions and appendix, the same as below) are expected to present original and new advance on the emerging fields of communications and information networks. Original articles include an abstract of about 200 words, 3~8 key words (the same as below), an introduction, sections with brief subheadings, conclusion, and up to 60 references. Additional supplemental material is permitted as appendix in the end of the article.

    Reviews should describe and synthesize recent developments of communications and information networks of significance and highlight future directions. A review should include an abstract, an introduction that outlines the main theme, brief subheadings, an outline of important unresolved questions, and up to 100 references.



    Authors must use the JCIN LaTex Template to prepare their manuscript. Using the template file will substantially shorten the time to complete copy-editing and publication of accepted manuscripts.


    Manuscript Preparation and Submission

    Please read the Guide for Authors to prepare your manuscript. It is the obligation of the authors to cite relevant prior work.

    We accept submissions only online. You must have an account to submit your manuscripts through the Manuscript Central ( The submitting author is responsible for obtaining agreement of all coauthors and any consent required from sponsors before submitting a paper. JCIN assumes that the material submitted for publication has been properly released. It is the responsibility of the authors to determine whether publication of the material requires the prior consent of other parties and, if so, to obtain it.

    Copyright and Page Charges

    The manuscript is copyrighted to protect the interests of JCIN as well as its authors and their employers. Authors must provide a signed copyright release form before their papers are published; the completed form should accompany the manuscript upon its approval and final submission. Authors can download JCIN Copyright and Consent Form.

    For manuscripts that are submitted on or after January 1st, 2018, there are no page charges for papers of 8 or fewer than 8 printed pages (including tables, illustrations and references). Each additional complete or partial page is charged to the authors at CNY 800.00.

    Publication and Archiving


    Generally speaking, articles accepted will be published online first. The printed version will be released with issue and page number according to annual plan.


    The electronic version is backed up and preserved in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
