Improvement on Design of Microstrip Patch Log-Periodic Antenna

摘要:

基于传统的对数周期偶极子天线的原理和结构特点,结合微带天线的优势,改进设计了一种工作在1.2~3.2 GHz的以楔形夹角相连的16单元微带贴片对数周期单极子天线。利用VB软件设计了一款天线计算器,方便了天线尺寸参数的计算和优化调整,使用Ansoft HFSS软件搭建天线的模型并进行仿真优化。利用PNA3621网络分析仪对制作的天线进行了测试。测量结果表明,在该频带范围内,天线方向对称性较好,旁瓣较少,与仿真结果较为吻合,天线输入端的电压驻波比(VSWR)和回波损耗(RL)较为理想,宽带特性较好。

Abstract:

Based on the principles and the structure characteristics of traditional log-periodic dipole antenna, combined with the advantages of microstrip antenna, this paper improves the design of a wedge-angle microstrip patch log-periodic monopole antenna with 16 units working from 1.2 GHz to 3.2 GHz. It proposes an antenna interactive calculator with VB software to calculate and adjust antenna parameters conveniently. Then, to construct, simulate and optimize the antenna model with Ansoft HFSS software. The antenna is tested by PNA3621 vector network analyzer. Measurement results show that the antenna has good characteristics with symmetrical radiation pattern, broad bandwidth, little number of side lobes, the voltage standing wave ratio, which agree well with the simulation results.
