Abstract: This article mainly targeted on the difference of video communication on the internet and provided by telecos with detailed comparison on their architecture, service provisioning, functionality, reliability, access protocols, dialing number, QoS,terminal devices, and interoperability. According to the analysis,a new phrase “de-teleco” is proposed to be the key factor for Telecos’video communication, which indicates non-customized terminals, open architecture, internet-mode management,centralized deployment and operation. Finally, some “de-teleco” advices on product forms, implementation and deployment, market strategy of video communication are given as a conclusion in this article.
