and Information Security was selected into the WJCI Report (2021)
The 2021 edition of World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) Report of Scientific and Technological Periodicals has been released recently. WJCI is jointly developed by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, China Academic Journals (CD Edition) Electronic Publishing House Co., Ltd., Tsinghua University Library, Wanfang Data Co., Ltd., Society of China University Journals, and China Editology Society of Science Journals.
The 2021 edition of the WJCI Report of Scientific and Technological Periodicals is the research output of the China Association for Science and Technology’s research project “Research on the Comprehensive Evaluation Method of the Influence of International-oriented Scientific and Technological Journals” and “Development of the World Influence Index of Scientific and Technological Journals (2021 Edition)”. It aims at establishing a new periodical evaluation system to comprehensively evaluate the publishing and dissemination services provided by scientific and technological periodicals to global scientific and technological innovation activities and their academic influence in today’s society, objectively reflecting the real contribution of emerging scientific and technological powers represented by China, and is conducive to promote fair evaluation and homogeneous and equivalent use of world scientific and technological periodicals. It not only provides a reasonable evaluation system for scientific and technological periodicals to achieve the major task of “cultivating world-class scientific and technological periodicals” in China, but also makes the publication and dissemination of papers return to its original standard, encourages the first publication of high-level papers in China, serves the national innovation-driven development strategy, and contributes to the development of science and technology in the world, especially in developing countries.
The 2021 edition of the WJCI Report of Scientific and Technological Periodicals collects 14,665 journals in global S&T periodicals, including 1,584 in mainland China, covering 291 subjects. Chinese Journal of Network and Information Security was selected for two subjects of "Data Security and Computer Security" and "Computer Network".
Among the 5 journals in mainland China selected for "Data Security and Computer Security", Chinese Journal of Network and Information Security ranked the second.
Among the 5 journals in mainland China selected for "computer network", Chinese Journal of Network and Information Security ranked the fourth.
