  • 【call for paper】 Key Technologies of Universal Perception and Intelligent Recognition for the Ubiquitous Internet of Things

With the deepening of the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, technologies such as 5G, mobile Internet, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data and digital twinning continue to give birth to advanced information applications. Among them, intelligent perception and recognition technology is regarded as an effective means to realize "human-machine-thing" interaction and the interconnection of physical space, information space and social space. It has been widely used in information communication, computer and other related fields, providing technical support for emerging fields such as intelligent transportation, intelligent factory and intelligent medical under the collaborative interconnection of everything at the cloud network.

The State Council said in the Outline of the Strategic Plan for Expanding Domestic Demand (2022-2035) that it is necessary to speed up the construction of the Internet of Things and industrial Internet, and promote deep integration with artificial intelligence, so as to promote the mutual integration and intelligent allocation of "cloud, network and terminal" resource elements. In the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Information and Communication Industry, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology proposed to carry out the research and development of 6G basic theory and key technologies and strengthen the deep integration and development of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital twinning, so as to accelerate the construction of digital infrastructure and the formulation and promotion of key technology standards. However, the current universal sensing and intelligent recognition technologies are only applicable to single-domain scenarios and specific task objectives, and lack closed-loop interaction with decision control. At the same time, the lack of endogeneity between generalized artificial intelligence and the application of perception and recognition brings great challenges to the performance of perception and recognition in the all-domain resource fusion scenario. How to apply intelligent perception and recognition technology in 6G on a large scale is also an important task.

In order to timely track and share the latest achievements and progress in the field of universal sensing and intelligent recognition, this special topic aims to record and publish the innovative and groundbreaking basic scientific theories, key technology methods and engineering application system research in relevant researches at home and abroad. This topic hopes to provide a platform for experts and scholars in related fields to exchange cooperation and release the latest cutting-edge scientific research results, promote the deep integration of academia and industry, and promote the development of China's 6G technology field. Experts, scholars and researchers in related fields are welcome to contribute!
