JCIN is committed to thorough and efficient evaluation of submitted manuscripts and adopts a rigorous peer-review procedure.

Each published article was reviewed by a minimum of two independent reviewers using a double-blind review process. (This means that the reviewers are unknown to the authors and that the authors are unknown to the reviewers. The double-blind review process prevents bias or perception of bias towards the authors. )After the author contribute, editor will have the initial screening, through the editor assigned the paper to the editors, by the editors invite more than two reviewers for the first review, the duration of about a month, the reviewers return after the comments, by the editors to reviewers review comments to evaluate the manuscript, manuscript status should be reject, minor revision, major revision, and accept. The manuscripts in minor revision and major revision status will be assigned by the editorial board to the reviewers of the second review for blind review, and the review opinions will be returned. The editor-in-chief will decide whether to accept the manuscript for publication according to the opinions of the reviewers. The Editor-in-Chief has the right to make the final decision in the manuscript processing process. This issue is quarterly and will be published quarterly after receipt.

The peer review process covers the following:

  1. Simultaneous submissions to different journals will not be tolerated.
  2. Manuscripts with contents beyond the scope will not be considered for review.
  3. The editor shall ensure that the peer review process is fair, unbiased, and timely.
  4. The editor shall select reviewers who have suitable expertise in the relevant field.
  5. Final publication decision is made by the journal's Editor-in-Chief on the basis of the reviews. Authors are notified promptly of the decision.
  6. All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents by our Board of Reviewing Editors and reviewers.
  7. Editors and reviewers involved in the review process should disclose conflicts of interest resulting from direct competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, and remove oneself from the cases in which such conflicts preclude an objective evaluation. Privileged information or ideas that are obtained through peer review must not be used for competitive gain.
  8. For submitted manuscripts to Special Issue/Focus, all manuscripts follow the same peer review process as regular papers and are published in the regular issues of the JCIN when they are accepted.

Authors submitting their manuscripts to JCIN need to comply with the following guidelines.

  1. Names and affiliations need to be removed from the manuscript. The writing Author 1, Author 2, etc. need to be used. The same applies to the affiliations of the authors in the footnote.
  2. References to funding and acknowledgments need to be removed.
  3. The use of terms like “my” or “our” when referring to authors’ prior work is not permitted. Third person statements need to be used instead, e.g., “In [ref], it was shown that...”

It is worth nothing that names, affiliations, funding, and acknowledgments will be available in the published version of the paper, if accepted for publication.
