Study on Comparison and Verification of NE's Topology Discovery in IP MAN

Abstract:

Extracted the complex MAN switch-connections to abstract network element(NE)topology,for fulfilling the high standards of operator's OSS,a general NE's topology discovery(GTD)algorithm was promoted to physical port class that started from the leaf node and ended by the root.When comparison and verification with the RADIUS dial-up list,an improved topology discovery algorithm with NE's weight-added(WA)was provided to lift the consistency.Due to the operator's high needs of dependable and trustable topology data to telecommunication level,a creative ant path characteristic(APC)algorithm was designed to discovery the user logic path from the root to the leaf reversely.The trusted NE's topology data not only show up the operator's high management,but also prepare for next period of automatic service operation(APO)system.
