Abstract:

Applications of cloud computing and virtual design technology，provide a new design and verification tools for new product development in mechanical and electrical industry.After the introduction of above technologies，a new virtual design system for mechanical and electrical products named C²VDSMEP was proposed，based on heterogeneous cloud computing platform，integrated with product data management thinking.Supporting concurrent and collaborative multi-user operation，it provides a unified，distributed virtual design environment for designers from different geographic locations and areas，so as to effectively avoid communication barriers and collaboration difficulties in traditional model.Transparent to users，cloud computing infrastructure platform help to meet the high need of computing resources and storage space in distributed virtual design system.
