Abstract:

To improve the unbalanced energy consumption in wireless sensor networks with linear networking protocol,a routing protocol based on probability-based shunting for load balancing(PBSLB)has been presented in this paper. The PBSLB routing protocol creates many routes and selects the one that have the most remaining energy to transmit the data-assuming the energy consumption is positively correlated with the data transmitted through the route. Our extensive experiments results show that the PBSLB protocol can improve the load balance of the network, thus effectively balance the energy consumption of each node in a linear wireless sensor network and extending the lifetime of individual node and the network.
