Abstract

Abstract:

The increasing prevalence of HetNet and multi-technology network pose significant complexity of network O&M. To improve efficiency of network deployment and operation，and to reduce OPEX，3GPP initiates the work towards standardizing self-organizing capabilities for LTE in R8，R9. This article introduces the latest status and standard development of LTE SON， the main features and solutions of self-configuration，self-optimization and self-healing，and analyzes the future and positioning of the LTE SON development trend.
