Application of Location-Based Bi-Casting Mechanism in Handover for High-Speed Rail

Abstract:

This paper proposes a novel LTE handover scheme for high speed environment.The scheme adoptes a location-based bi-casting mechanism,with the assistance of the fixity of the train trajectory and the regularity of the train operation.Compared with the handover scheme adopting traditional bi-casting mechanism,the proposed scheme can minimize the network resource consumption caused by bi-casting,meanwhile provide a good performance in reducing handover interruption time.
