Abstract:

During the trial and construction procedure of PON-based FTTX access technology,Shanghai Telecom found that the traditional cross connecting distribution equipment of optical cable is the bottleneck of FTTH massive development.Shanghai Telecom broked through the traditional fiber jumper methods,initiated the“no optical fiber jumper”concept,developed the corresponding optical cable cross connecting distribution products,and achieved extensive use.This innovative solution has solved the above bottleneck of FTTH network development,and established the foundation of large-scale & standardized ODN construction.This article introduced the“no optical fiber jumper”concept,the thinking of corresponding product development,the product type & structure,and the application solution according to FTTH development scenes.At last,the application advantage of these“no optical fiber jumper”optical cable cross connecting distribution products in ODN is expounded.
