Abstract:

The basic concept and major functions of self-organization network（SON）in IMT-Advanced system are described in this paper，where the fundamental processes of self-configuration for basic parameter，physical cell and neighbor cell relation are elaborated，and also the key technologies of mobility robustness，capacity and coverage，load balancing are discussed.The supporting SON technology，which is the minimization of drive test，is considered，and an improved scheme is given.The SON characteristics of home eNodeB，including corresponding schemes and algorithms are also described in the paper.
