Abstract:

Software defined networking（SDN）presents a new network architecture of future network,which is adaptable to the innovation of network technologies and applications and transforming the traditional networks.The issues facing the current service provider networks were described first,and the SDN architecture and key features were introduced.Moreover,the SDN performance,scalability and survivability meeting the carrier-graded requirements were discussed and analyzed.Finally,the SDN applications and practices in the service provider networks were explored.
